MEGA
MARATHON
A marathon every morning. Five days in a row. Before work.

No rules.
Just doing.
This is not an event. Nobody closes a road for you. Nobody hands you a bottle. There is no start gun. Only your alarm.
Five mornings. One marathon each. Then you shower, and you go to work like nothing happened.
You race everyone who signed up, and you never see them. Same week, same distance, different streets. The clock is the only thing you share.
Just you against yourself. That is the whole idea.
The cookie jar.
David Goggins keeps a jar. In it: every hard thing he ever finished. When a race gets ugly, he reaches in and takes one out.
MegaMarathon is five cookies. Monday goes in the jar on Monday. By Thursday, when your legs vote no, you open the jar. Three cookies say otherwise.
Nobody is watching. Everybody is counting.
Put your name down.
Name and city. That's the whole form. It's free, it's public, and it stays.
Run before work. Five times.
Monday to Friday of race week. Any route, any pace. Record it on GPS and upload it the same day. Optional: post your start photo. Dark, tired, honest.
Five out of five. Or nothing.
Finish all five and your name goes on the wall, ranked by total time. Miss one and it doesn't. There is no partial.

We didn't invent hard. We just moved it to 05:30.
The prize is a t-shirt.
A fjord, a mountain, and a black shirt for the ones who reach the top. Nothing else. We took the idea that the reward should be nothing you could buy.
Suffering is the test.
The cookie jar, the 4 a.m. alarm, the refusal to negotiate with yourself. We took the jar, and the hour.
Carry less.
Autonomy and simplicity. Movement as a mother tongue. We took the minimalism: no kit list, no expo, no medal.
One sheet of paper.
The first brochure was a single page, and it had a paragraph on values. We took the sheet. This page is ours.

Free. Public. Permanent. Race week is announced two weeks out. Enough time to set the alarm, not enough to talk yourself out of it.
