When.
Race week is Monday to Friday, starting the second Monday of every month. One edition a month, twelve a year. Editions are numbered 01, 02 and so on.
- 02
Every morning.
One run a day, five days in a row. Start before 12:00 local time on that calendar day. Local time is where you are when you run.
- 03
Any length.
You decide how far each morning goes. A run counts from 1 km. Any route, any pace, anywhere on earth.
- 04
Prove it.
Record the run on GPS. Upload the GPX or FIT file the same day, import it from Apple Health in the app, or record it with the app. The server measures every file. Nothing is taken on trust.
- 05
The wall.
Run all five mornings and your name goes on the wall, ranked by distance over the week. Miss one morning and nothing counts. There is no partial.
- 06
The badges.
The five mornings add up. 21.1 km over the week is the half badge. 42.2 km is the marathon badge. 50 km is the ultra badge. The badge is the reward. There is no medal.
- 07
The shelf.
Every finished edition is a jar on the shelf. Ten jars is a reward. Twenty is another. Twelve in a row is the year.
- 08
Free.
No fee. No kit. No password. Your name, your city and your five mornings are public. Your email and your files are not.
Straight answers.
- What is MegaMarathon?
- An asynchronous running race. Everyone runs every morning of the same week, Monday to Friday, before work, in their own city. Nobody meets. The week adds up to a marathon.
- Do I have to run a marathon every day?
- No. You decide the length each morning, from 1 km up. The badges come from the total over the five mornings: 21.1 km for the half, 42.2 km for the marathon, 50 km for the ultra.
- When is race week?
- Monday to Friday, starting the second Monday of every month. One edition a month.

- A run of at least 1 km that started before 12:00 local time on that calendar day, with a GPS file or an Apple Health workout to prove it.
- What happens if I miss a day?
- Nothing counts for that week. Five out of five puts you on the wall. Four out of five does not.
- What does it cost?
- Nothing. No fee, no kit, no medal. The badge is the reward.
- How do I sign in?
- With your email address, or with Apple in the iPhone app. No password. The first time you also give your name and city.
- Where is my data kept?
- On Supabase servers in Ireland. Your name, city, daily distances and posts are public. Your email and your files are private.
